War on waste (my first rant)

How many of us realise just how much food never even makes it off of farms because it is too big, too small, too ugly and is rejected at source, 40% thats how much, please tell me who cares what food looks like??? not the starving and the poor, certainly not any sane person out there, I want the ridiculous bureaocrat that came up with these ludicrous parameters to justify them to us, after all they are contributing directly to billions of pounds worth of waste but far more importatly to the countless starving peoples of this world. There is more than enough food and wealth to go around.
