BROWNIES
Hello Steemians,
Today I am going to share with all of you a recipe that is really closer to my heart and one of my favorite`s that is Brownies. These brownies are gooey yet fudgy yet they are melt in the mouth. Just one bite of these brownies would make you feel like you are in heaven. It took me just 15 minutes to prepare the batter and 45 minutes to bake these yummy brownies and trust me they were gobbled up in less then 5 minutes. Its easy to make and total 1 hour time is what you need.
INGREDIENTS:
ALL PURPOSE FLOUR- 3/4 CUP
BUTTER - 1/2 CUP
SUGAR- 3/4 CUP
CHOCOLATE CHIPS- 1 CUP
EGGS- 2 LARGE
COCO POWDER- 4 TSPS
VANILLA ESSENCE- 1 TSP
PROCEDURE:
1. Preheat your oven at 160 degrees. Take a 6*4 square mold and place a parchment paper on it nicely. If you do not have parchment paper, use butter to brush the mold. Use an oven safe mold.
2. Take a double boiler, place the chocolate chips in it. When the chocolate starts melting, add sugar and butter in it. Mix it nicely, there should not be any lumps.
3. In another bowl, take 2 eggs. Beat the eggs whites along with the yolks properly. Add Vanilla Essence. Beat them using a hand blender.
4. Take another bowl, sieve All purpose flour and coco powder in it. Mix them thoroughly. At this stage, add a pinch of salt. Salt gives a higher shelf life to the brownies.
5. Add all purpose flour and coco powder to the eggs mixture. Mix it nicely.
6. Remove the chocolate,sugar and butter mixture from the double boiler. Slowly start adding the eggs mixture into it. At this stage , you may use a hand blender to mix it nicely.
7. The batter should not be lumpy, it would be thick, but that is the consistency we need for perfect brownies.
8. Add the batter into the square mold (with parchment paper) and place it into preheated oven at 160 degrees for about 35-40 minutes. Actual temperature may vary according to the type of oven you have.
9. Once the baking time is over, take a knife to check if it is baked properly. We do not need a really clean knife but a little chocolate is what we are looking for.
10. If its baked , take it out of the oven, place it on the oven rack.
11. Do not remove it from the mold. Cut the brownies and take them out one by one. The first brownie is usually most difficult to be taken out. Let it cool.
TIPS:
If you wish to store the brownies, place it in an air tight container. These stay good for about 15 days. This recipe would yield 4 big brownies. You can enjoy it with ice cream, with a cup of coffee or can be eaten alone too. All the ingredients should be at room temperature. We do not need a really high temperature to bake it as we need fudgy brownies. Use powdered sugar for best results. You may sieve it before using. You may also add a pinch of baking soda if you want really soft brownies. I have not added as I was looking for gooey brownies with a light brown texture on top. I have multiplied the ingredients to 3.5 as I needed 15 big brownies.
