Rissoles
Hmm...when it's raining, the common tradition of Indonesian people they will eat gorengan (all kind of fried food). Rissoles is one of them. Snacking rissoles is also our favorite.
Although it has been popular since long time ago, I believe rissoles doesn't originally come from Indonesia. Some said "Rissoles" came from Portuguese by its name.
I think making rissoles is easy but it takes time as it has a couple steps before frying.
Ingredients:
- 300 High Protein Flour
- 1 egg
- Salt
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
coating:
- 1-2 eggs
- Bread Crumbs
Filling:
- Chicken breast, small chop
- Potato, cut into dice
- Carrot, cut into dice
- Peas, chop
- Spring union
- 5 tbsp cooking oil
Grind Spice:
- Candle nuts
- Pepper
- Garlic
- Shallot
- Nutmeg (optional)
- Salt
Instructions:
- Whisk flour, egg, salt and cooking oil.
- Heat the cooking oil then pour the grinded spice.
- When the spice cooked add in all the filling vegetables. Stir until cooked.
- Heat pan, spoon the batter.
- Fill the pancake with vegetables then roll.
- Set in the whisked egg and coat with bread crumbs.
- Fry and serve.
You can make more to store in the freezer and enjoy whenever you want.
