WHAT AN ADVENTURE | Ever Wanted to Fly a Powered Parachute?
Ever saw a flying parachute? If so... It's called a powered Parachute, PPC for short.
This one of the safest way to fly. Did you know to fly alone in a single seater PPC, no license is required. in the world of aviation, it called Part 103 by the FAA. However, if you want to learn to fly these planes, it's very simple. All it takes is 10 hrs with a certified flight instructor, CFI.
I've listed the items that I used to educate myself to learn the information that's on the FAA examine. These items played an import role, allowing me to obtain my sports pilot certificate.
#1. FAA-S-8081-29
Sports Pilot - For Airplane, Weight Shift Control, Powered Parachute and Flight Instructor.
This book shows me the Practical Test Standards
#2. King | Sport Pilot, Knowledge Test Course.
I used the collection of DVD's to study the ground school that my instructor outlined for me. This was a great asset due to the fact my instructor lived 6 hrs from me. Ground school was made simple with the King DVD set.
#3. The scariest part of getting your certificate is not the flying, but the checkride makes you or breaks you.
This event occurs when your CFI believes that you are ready to meet with an official FAA examiner.
This is where you and the FAA examiner goes over a series of questions and flight test. To better prepare myself for the checkride, I studied this DVD that was prepared be an official FAA examiner.
#4. Last but not least, I have the 2018 Prepware.
This is a cd that runs on your PC. It pretains 100's of possiple question that are on the written FAA examine. You really really need this to past the most stressful 40 question test ever!
Now you know what it take to Fly a Powered Parachute!
Here's a few pic of us pilots, having fun. : ) Enjoy.
