Airplane Mode
As a creative person I really need and love to focus. But in order for me to get into a flowstate, I have to be more mindful and learn how to continue to shut out distractions, so that I can get into a mind fill state. One of those big distractions is my phone. I have been getting into the habit of keeping my phone on airplane mode most of the time, unless I am using it. I find if the phone rings, I get any alerts or even sometimes if the phone is near me, I could get distracted or pop out of my flow state. So I will put it on airplane mode and many times just keep it away from me. I don't just do this because I find phones to be distracting, but the electromagnetic frequencies also known as dirty electricity can affect our bodies energy as well as our sleep. I have a no phone in the bedroom will unless it is on airplane mode being used.
Disconnecting from the digital world is a good idea. It would help a lot of us if we did it once in a while. Not only for creativity, but also to releive some stress. It's difficult to be always on.
