“Mmmmm daddy!” Roses! This is one giant bush greeting the sunrise with our son today.

This is one giant rose Bush this morning just outside our front door. It’s fed by a rain gutter that gives it good deep waterings every time it rains. She’s top coated with fresh wood chips every few months. We use her hips and flowers for tincturing and fermentation.

This particular rose bush is about 10 years old. We top her every year. She puts off dozens upon dozens of roses throughout the growing season. She also offers us privacy from the street.

The path that leads off from the rose bush leads....all the way around the food forest! Our son can walk...and take in his sensory filled environment....eating and smelling and just being in pure JOY!
