That's a nice picture of the flowers and buds! To me, the plant actually looks more like a member of the Cabbage family, with its 4 petals arranged like an X. And with the soft buds all at the tips. A cherry will have 5 flower petals coming off a woody stem. Maybe we just have different common names for things - and that would be interesting to know. I like learning the different local names that people use for plants.
