Beautiful lotus flower

The lotus is a kind of aquatic plants this plant grows on a calm water such as pond, swamp or river. Flowers and leaves are above sea level and stems out of the rhizome in the mud. The stems are located in the middle of the lower leaves, the leaves have an oval or round shape with the width cut in the fingers to the stalk. The leaves on the lotus do not contain wax so water that falls on the leaves will not become a grain of water.
