Majuli in flood season

Flood occurs every year in Assam during rainy season, but this year 2017 during last heavy rain on July the conditioned of flood worsened as the rain water was added with water released from dams. As a result water ran amidts villages and houses. The motor boat could easily run between houses , their backyards and gardens. However, people were carried on board to safer places immediately. As people there are familiar to flood and so could manouvere it.
