Current Condition of Silchar, Assam

There are two national highways which connects the city to the rest parts of India, Both are closed due to Flood and Landslides

Indian Railways: Closed due to landslides

Airport: Road Leading to the airport is submerged with around 2ft of water

Entire city is submerged, even the Cremation Ground, resulting in lines of dead bodies

In some areas water has reached upto first floor

Electricity Board office is also submerged in most of areas, so there is no electricity, and no cellular network in most of the place.

People in Barak Valley are thriving due to lack of drinking water, there's heavy crisis of drinking water as Water supply is not there due to Flood since 3 days
