I have flown a lot in my life and now am waking up to quite a few seemingly fake things about air travel. I will not spam your post, but you might want to look on my feed for my recent jet plane post. Apparently - they are not using jet fuel to fly.
I have also seen a few yt videos where people take altimeters on their flights. They are showing maybe 8000 feet elevation while the pilot says 30000 in the background.

well they are using 10% of what they claim, is what I've heard. there is definitely no way all that fuel that say is actually stored in the wings.
I so agree. It is not possible when you look into it even briefly :)
for what it's worth, there is an explanation. more distance yes, but more speed too

lol, the highest rated reply ignores the distance question, the next one claims the difference is nominal at 0.28% ...
...which is pretty close to the actual 0.21% difference in distance if the jet was flying at 45,000 feet.
Why would you need 4 times the flight time for a negligible increase in distance?
