Flat Earth or na? 🤔 (In-Flight)

So, I won't hold you, I'm in a lil bit of a cosmological crisis- seriously questioning (or even perhaps thru with) the heliocentric spinning ball earth cosmology. It's slightly trippy- but not too much as I've always been super circumspect and skeptical of scientism and defer to what my ancestors knew and understood to be truth.
I'm currently on a flight from NY to Chicago with an off-duty pilot sitting directly next to me. A really sunburned n uptight aryan nation lookin mf, who I was really reluctant to even engage but I said f*ck it lemme lean on him a little- do it for the steem.
(He's sleeping now btw)
He let me know he has been a pilot for around 23 years, so I asked him to humor me on a potentially nutty conversation/few questions about the shape of the earth. He admitted he never looked into it or heard much about Flat Earth but assured me it was round and that he flies around it every day, but he obliged and was surprisingly tolerant and open-minded, and couldn't (nor did he try to) hide the fact that his interest was peaked. He said it: "You've certainly peaked my interest already and I will do some looking into it- for fun if nothing else". Was hardly a bombshell/revelatory conversation, but what was evident is that pilots are in-fact almost as clueless as the rest of us. At least he was forthcoming. Yeah, that's my story, but more to come.....bout to land! Peace!
