Our flesh certainly savors the things that be of men over the things that be of God - unless we submit ourselves to the Spirit of Holiness which cries out "Abba! I need you!" The message we are subjected to day after day is SELF sufficiency and SELF reliance. Looking out for your SELF. But this is not how it is in the Kingdom - we must seek first the righteousness of our Father and King first, then attend to the needs of your neighbor before yourself. That is what the Spirit of Holiness desires - selflessness and peace. A willingness to give, even your own life if need be. It is unthinkable for our flesh to suffer for the sake of others, but the Spirit within us loves so greatly that even torture is something to rejoice over. @ironshield
Wow. Awesome my dear brother. You nailed it.
It reminds me of this verse which says;
Jesus knew when you love your neighbor you will not hurt him or lie to him or kill him or steal from him, thereby practicing holiness.
Thank you @ironshield
