School of the Spirits Week 1: VICTORY OVER SIN
Memory Verse: ‘’Neither yield ye your members of instruments of unrighteousness unto sin : but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive form the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God” – Romans 6:13.
BIBLE PASSAGE-Romans 6:14-15
INTRODUCTION
Sin is a reproach to the body of Christ. Victory over sin start from you as a believer of Christ, when you resist and let go of it. The race is not for the swift, when you stand against sin in all area of life, victory will take over, according to the bible this can be done when you have made up your mind and looking unto Jesus (Hebrews 12:2) what is in the author is settlement of faith and the completion of redemption. Pharaoh could not resist sin in his heart because he was overwhelmed with pride in his heart. (Exodus 10:16).

OUTLINES
RESIST SIN
Sin can be resisted after you might have dealt with your flesh excessively (Hebrew 12:14) when you resist sin, it becomes victory but when sin is accommodated defeat is abound. Right from the beginning devil as sinned against God, to resist and his handiwork, you will have to be determined (James 4:7). It doesn’t matter how many times you fall, make a solid plan and determination with God, because the son of God was manifested to destroy every work of the darkness (1 John 3:8). To finally overcome sin, you need the word of God as your tutor and companionship.
THE WORK OF SIN
There are many work of sin which devil has put into the mist of believers today in order to destroy them and get them away from the hand of God. Here are the works of sin:-
Death (Ezekiel 18:4,20).
Weariness (Habakkuk 2:13).
Short memory (Hosea 4:6).
Wickedness (1 John 5:19).
Sorrow in every area (Genesis 3:16-17).
Spiritually captured (Proverb 24:10).
CONCLUSION
Submit yourself to God in all and all. Let your determination goes along with your prayers (James 4:7, Acts 19:39). God will give us grace and power to resist and overcome sin in the name of Jesus.
