A flag will take away any steem that was given to you by others, depending on the weight of the down vote. The whales can literally wipe out all the gains you receive from all the others. It also has an impact on your reputation as well. In my view, when we start taking away rewards from people, that crosses the line into being violent as I see it as theft. A view not held by many others here.
