Do Something Everyday To Keep Yourself Healthy

I expect you find that some activities make you feel vibrant and healthy....biking, gardening, walking, gym work......

Prepare a list of these activities, so that you can readily refer to them. Schedule time in your day to enjoy one or more of these activities.

Retirement is a great time to take up a new hobby. Go down to your local library or college to find out about lectures, workshops and courses. 

YouTube and Pinterest have a huge range of creative projects backed up by detailed tutorials.

Join social media groups related to what you are interested in. YouTube videos offer tutorials on practically every subject.

Look After Your Body

Just because we are growing older doesn't mean that your health will decline. You don't have to join a gym to carry out strength training, aerobic exercise and endurance training.

My brother-in-law, who is 87, cycles 15 miles a day on a static bike in his spare room.

Ideally you should exercise with a friend or loved one......you will be stimulated by each others company, as well as holding each other accountable. There are so many gadgets nowadays which track your health throughout the day and during exercise.

Take Part In Competitions Which Test Your Physical Ability

There are all sorts of contests where you can challenge yourself......bikes, triathlons, walking, running.....Start with a one mile fun walk and keep adding a mile or so each time you compete.
