I've had so many fights with girls that are convinced they'll look like He-Man the second they touch a weight... and it's so not true. Firstly, it's really hard for anyone; male or female to look super muscley, it doesn't happen by accident, but most importantly, it's incredibly hard for girls to get super muscley, even if they wanted to, because of the lack of testosterone in their bodies.

Lifting for women is the most efficient way of losing weight, and getting toned. It's amazing and so much quicker than cardio.

Totally agree on the before photos... you just have no idea how far you've come because you look at yourself every day... you either have to take before photos, or continually bump into long lost friends to get any sense of progress.

Let's get more girls into squat racks - hopefully we'll be able to stamp out all the unnecessary weight dropping!! Which, by the way, is ridiculous... some of the best gains to be had are in the lowering phase of the movement.
