Fun in the Bliss Tank
We inherited a filthy fish tank last year and it has been one of the surprisingly blissful things in my life. I call it the Bliss tank.
My stepkid’s grampa moved into a care home and wasn’t allowed to bring the tank. As we are in the habit of inheriting pets (my partner’s deceased mom’s dog for one,) we got a new tank and brought the fish to live with us.
There were six fish then. Four of them are still with us. The ruby tetras and the zebras. We lost our sucker fish after a few months and another one. And we added three more zebras and a snail… Steve
The ruby ones are a fascinating breed to me. They are very skittish and don’t really move around much.
I would recommend getting a fish tank if you are able to afford it. It takes a little time making sure it’s clean, and there are some expenses both in start up and in maintenance costs.
But it provides a real sense of bliss.
