In detail, the firefighters of Frascati intervened (two Canadair and two helicopters were also at work) and the Civil Protection of various municipalities of the Castelli Romani. Also supporting the local police of Grottaferrata and Monte Porzio, as well as the park rangers.

Complicating the fire brigade's extinguishing operations and blocking the intervention of the Civil Protection was the strong wind that persisted in the area for hours, fueling the fire which in a short time incinerated several hectares of vegetation.

Around 8pm on Tuesday, after around 5 hours of incessant work, the flames still showed no signs of retreating, also threatening the Archaeological Park and surrounding the Cross which is located on the top of Tusculum.
