Oh, so the factory reset did not work, well, then that is indeed going to be a long day! I liked the part where the sentinels on their own would take centuries to learn because of their low RAM. But say what you like, the Colonel should have waited for the synapse analysis. :)

What the story hinted at (and I regret not making it clearer! 😖) is that the Colonel and the architect got rebooted as well. They forgot what just transpired and were about to repeat the questioning of poor confused C-10Z01, who of course does not remember, which would have lead to another brigade-level reset, and so on, in and out of the same interrogation room. A long day indeed.
But why would the brigade-level reset also affect them? Are they really humans? And is this the first loop? Alas, we can't say, though perhaps there might be some clues...
