The difference between this and Yield Farming is that you are not necessarily farming new tokens or depositing your crypto-assets to facilitate transactions in the liquidity pool. Instead, you are staking or depositing your crypto-assets to earn steady returns throughout the duration of the stake.

The staking returns are calculated in the form of Annual Percentage Yield (APY), which sums up the percentage return you will get per month or year – depending on the specifications.
