The future of job hunting

Job hiring, in the coming years, is going to see a significant change if it hasn't already. Conventional job hiring processes; applications, interviews and all that may still exist but with the current Genz adoption of TikTok and other video-centric platforms, these processes may have to keep up with the trends.

Generally, we now consume a lot more video content than we did years ago compared to written content. This is why users on Twitter have drastically reduced as compared to the increase of TikTok users and other video platforms as well. The best and most used platforms now are the ones that know how to properly harness the capabilities of not just videos but short-form videos that don't require a lot of attention to get the main idea.

This is where Revel comes in; a job hiring platform which utilizes short-form videos for both job hiring and job searching. Individuals who will use this mobile app will gain access to the best aspects of TikTok and also Tinder as the process of applying for a job can be done with a simple swipe.

Revel is positioned to take the world by storm with these features and will most likely be in major competition with the likes of LinkedIn and maybe even TikTok itself as young people may see a lot more value from being employed through their video content rather than simply being liked alone.

Revel positions itself as a hiring platform for technical talent and non-technical talent because anyone with a smartphone can make videos of their crafts or themselves as they perform their craft and get hired by a person who's close by and in need of their service. The same goes for hiring as well because absolutely anyone can be a recruiter.

Need help fixing a plumbing problem in your home? All you'd need to do is make a simple video of that issue, send it out and get contacted by an active Revel user who can be available to have that problem fixed at an agreed price. Or are you a mechanic who does particular jobs really well? Make a video of it and get contacted by people who need that problem fixed around you.

Although Revel is still in the works, it is set to launch within April for its first set of users. It has been in development since July 2022 with a team of well-experienced developers and seeing the progress and level of one-to-one reproduction being done by these developers, it's safe to say that they're on track to launching a truly remarkable product.
