UPI Payments using Credit Cards
Credit Cards are definitely a useful tool to use as I have said in my earlier posts, but it is also a slippery slope as Credit Card Debt is a really bad loophole that you definitely want to avoid in your life. Apart from that Credit card also AMPS up your spending a little bit, like in my case I am now willing to buy something extravagant once in a while as I know my Credit Card has the necessary limit to afford it but previously I would have stayed away from that.
This would have been just ok for me but now we are getting UPI Payments using Credit Cards which means we can now pay with our Credit Cards via UPI apps like GPAY, PAYTM, PHONEPE, and many more which means we can pay our Milk with Credit Card and even our vegetables and this ease of transaction is something that I am very wary about. The reason is pretty simple this ease of transaction will lead to a lot of miscalculations when it comes to your day-to-day expenditures.
I can already say for sure that a lot of people are going to get royally tripped when they find their Credit Card bills at the end of the month as they will be shocked as to how much they have actually spent on things they never thought they had spent.
At the end of the day, all of this comes down to accountability and how much we can track our expenses as if you are not careful of that I can tell this with certainty that you will indeed face some tough financial issues with your Credit Card. So as for myself, I will definitely not be adding my Credit Cards to the UPI until and unless there is a spending limit that is implemented in the App as that will enable me to know when I reach my limit of spending via UPI.
