love it. it's got real legs because one of the demos for SMT was about putting in comments on sites and you have already the framework for the way to integrate it, i'd expect that intergrating SMT's when they come along would be fairly trivial for you to implement and then you have a solution that you can offer people to intergrate steem into their products - that could be real big.
have you been approached by steemit yet? because i certainly see you getting picked up to work for them if you have not been offered work yet -- or maybe you wanna do your own thing (hope so!) because i'd love to work with you on one idea that i think could be really awesome for media creation and content -- you around in brum in april for @steemfestuk maybe?

Ahh, it's @steemcampuk found it. :( I'm in Norway until late on the 8th unfortunately. Totally would have been interesting to Join. I hope it's a good event.
I can't believe they have a comments system as the example for SMT's! It's almost exactly like Finally and I had no idea that site existed. 🙌
no worries. i'm hoping to cover the event so i'll keep you up to date via steemit, yeah i'm sure their will be more, look forward to chatting to you more after you are back and settled.
that's kinda cool right? that's why i said i'm surprised steemit have not contacted you about it because for me it's the perfect fit when SMT comes out, you've already laid some ground work, alternatively, you could PACKAGE it and have it as a fully hosted solution for others to intergrate their own SMT and your finally comments as a white label ;) - just saying. ..
I can't seem to get the "load more posts" button on the FinallyComments dashboard to function for me. Anyone else having this issue? I'd also love if there was still a place in the dashboard to simply paste a Steemit URL like before. It can be easier than scrolling an on site list, and I do see use cases for linking comment sections off other user's blogs for multi-user/multiple account related websites.
Hey Bryan, Thanks for the comment. Can you check if their are any javascript error when you try to 'load more posts' (if not familiar you can do view>Developer>Javascript console), that would really help to diagnose what the issue might be.
Thanks for the feedback I can add the generator back if it's useful to have both. I did not think of the multi-user/account scenario.

This looks lime a very interesting project. Do you have any plans for this being used in place of disqus or other commenting systems for WordPress sites?
Yes, that is the exact purpose of the project. Working on the Wordpress Plugin soon after finishing a couple smaller updates.
That could be very lucrative to site owners. Eapecially if the implementation brings more actual people over to the #STEEMIT platform.

Is each authentication via Steemconnect unique to the domain where Finally is installed or is someone always logged in to any site that uses Finally?
FYI. The error you noticed was during rendering your comment on the Finally thread after a successful post to STEEM blockchain so it was here too.

Great alternative to discuss, thinking about implementing it but unfortunately most people have never heard of steem..
Yes agreed. There is a guest commenting feature for users who do not yet have a STEEM account but it does need some work tbh.
So Finally is only implementable on Steem projects not e.g. for WordPress?
Finally is not just for STEEM projects. Finally can be used anywhere that you have control over the code or can embed HTML (including script tags). Finally, comments will load as an iframe in the same way a youtube embed would.
It works for WordPress and a few users have mentioned they have started using it. I have plans for the WP plugin in the near future to make it easier.
