NorCal cannabis farm with b&w film
High up in the Mendo hills there’s an adventure that I will never turn down.
In these images the ladies are still young, but I did photograph them right before harvest but I have yet to navigate film processing. For going on two months now.
Right now we are in Berkeley working (or trying to find work) and the weather is shit. I long for the Mendo sun of late July.
If anyone else out there has the “winter blues”, cannabis and black & white ilford film might make things seem a little better for you too.
Look at those hills... it was 99 that day.
Cheers!

These are great :) I really like the second shot, great movement in that shot with the curved grid lines receding. I hope you get caught up with your film processing, would love to see pics closer to harvest. Cheers
Absolutely and thanks!
North California, where the outdoor is the best cannabis in the world!
The best I have ever had. The growers are warriors for cannabis freedom too, this guy since 1971.
Great shots. Love the B&W. My favorite is the first one.

Love this series. I think you should definitely do a book or exhibition on this!
Thank you @vander! It’s a great culture/ scene that should be documented, imo. I have six rolls waiting for the lab. 😊
