Review: How To Train Your Dragon 3

THIS DOES NOT HAVE SPOILERS

Many already know the enormous appreciation I have towards animated films, and even more so for the films of "How to Train Your Dragon" that the first movie is my favorite movie of all time. I knew about the premiere of the third movie in 2014 when DeBlois confirmed it. I wanted it to come, I wanted to see it, but a part of me did not want the time to say goodbye to the franchise.

Starting is that the technical achievement of the film exceeds an incredible level, I mentioned it to see the trailer but I have to mention again that it is amazing how the animators do not recreate, it creates scenarios so well achieved and so magnificent that they seem real, In addition to all the details in the textures of the skins, the scales of the dragons, the accessories in general, you yourself could see the hairs that were growing at Hiccup on the chin. And above all the gestures of the characters, which is very natural and fluid.

The arcs plot I felt that it happened very fast, because they were two plots that happened at the same time in the film that was in which Chimuelo was with the luminous fury and its relation with Hiccup, and the villain that wanted to hunt the night furys.

At first I thought that Grimmel was more a pretext to accelerate the plot that Hiccup and all Berk disappeared from the map and although in a certain way it is, now that I analyze it better that is what Hiccup would have been in an alternate universe in which he killed to Chimuelo in the first installment, so his motivations were extremely personal and therefore made it more real. So yes, I really liked Grimmel.

And speaking of the plot of Chimuelo, finally feels that the reflector is only for him, is something we had never seen and is adorable, it is beautiful, that is, I have nothing bad to say, were scenes where there were no dialogues, only They were expressions and the music of John Powell (It's beautiful), I did not need anything else.

I had not been so happy that there were references not only to the two previous films, but also to the short films they have taken and in addition to the series. I was in the cinema as if I was watching a Marvel movie.

Dreamworks did not disappoint me at all, the quality that gives us in this saga continues, not low at all. This trilogy began being mature and ends up being like that. And what sticks most of all this is how real it is, and here I quote Héctor Portillo saying that:

"The film is willing to make those difficult decisions to show the audience and the children that life, love and friendship is not always easy, but it's always worth it"

So yes, it was an epic film for a trilogy that deserves a resolution as masterful as it was its beginning 9 years ago. The end was dramatic, I saw it coming but not on that scale, and if you are wondering if I cry, I would lie to you if I said no. Please, I beg it, I implore it, John Powell must be nominated again for this soundtrack and this time no matter this part must win the best animated film at the Oscars of 2020. Thank you Dreamworks for this wonderful saga that for me is the perfect trilogy in animation and that this company can do this and many other things.
