Sports teams and leagues earn billions of dollars in profit. You'd think they could afford to license music, legally. The rich are always looking to get richer.
What I learned is teams spend the majority of the budgets on players. Larger teams do spend more on marketing. It's only been in the past 10 years they've become educated about music licensing. In almost every case I had to explain to their lawyers how they were breaking the law. If they understood, a license would have been issued sooner because it's so costly to infringe.
