This really is interesting because right from toe to top we are all bound by digitalisation.... Anyways it has made us advanced in life but it has suppressed us as humans..
I am so doubtful where we are heading!!!!!! The humanity will be doomed in the future and we will end up with a huge catastrophe :/ I will watch this for sure!!!

If AI could make AI better than humans did, as I read a few months ago than we're on the edge of humanity. Not to forget that Sofia, the robot expressed her wishes to destroy humanity... Another interesting aspect of AI is who is behind it? Where did it came from and how far will it go. I hate to love conspiracy theories but I remember reading once about aliens living in the center of the Earth that might gave to humans pieces of technology from time to time. Sometimes I think that a lot of movies from the 80's and 90's have predicted the future and the present we are currently living also. It's weird times we are living where we work all day to buy technology that works to make us ill and addicted to its tentacles. I have my fingers crossed with AI.

I did not like that view of panic and doom, musk has already said things like that the AI would be an immortal dictator, tell me what this guy is based on, it's just movies and books, history has shown us that when a being is liberated from its chains literally, it does nothing but contribute to this society and if of course there may be conflicts, but if truth is an AI and created by an imperfect being like man, of course it will will affect our lives in ways we can't even imagine but I think it will be positive.
Now technology is the slave of humanity, but it does not have to be the same with the AI, maybe a symbiotic state is achieved. That the AI is is the major risk for humanity, no sir I don't think so, but when they create an AI and I say when the only thing that has to do to dethrone humanity is to wait for us to kill each other or destroy the planet because we are so good at that.
I don't know about that.
Written history after all, is about people, human beings, not about robots with highly developed computer algorithms but no conscience or perception of right and wrong, meeting with a sentient being. We have no recorded interactions or altercations between man, and a foreign intellect of this kind.
In short there's no way we can tell what will happen. "Doom and gloom" is an entirely valid outcome, as is symbiotism or subservience, we just can't be sure which one is going to tip the scales first.
What we do know is computers (as in their programming) don't have an underlying code for moral, or ethics. We know that a piece of code is just that, a piece of code that has been programmed to use pure cold logic to determine how to accomplish a task.
That code does not take into account what costs an action could have on any other species or beings. The computer might not even notice us humans while making a simple choice that destroys us all, fulfilling a task it was originally programmed to do.
A simple example would be global warming. Let's assume we have a neural network that is programmed to fight global warming. It would take in all the data and make calculations on how to best fight global warming. It would inevitably come to the conclusion that humans are causing global warming. What would be the simplest action stop global warming according to an algorithm programmed to do just that?
Dethroning humanity is not what Elon Musk and the others are talking about in the video. The problem lies in that the AI does not even need to be sentient to come to the conclusion that we humans are an obstacle for its programming to succeed, and simply erase us without any empathy or remorse.
This made me think, you are right in something when a house is infected with a plague one does not destroy the house or move to another one simply eradicates them. But I think the AI should have a sense of ethics and morals with freedom to play, imagine and create, I really like the vision when the AI to see that humanity was confined to its self-destruction, I help them to spread by the solar system, develop better ways to travel.
We are all doomed, computers will conquer the world and use us as sex toys!
Yeah, Earth is literally becoming a technology planet. As I had it with @cryptogee lately, not too long ago names like R2D2 in Star Wars appeared abolutely outlandish and were not even considered as names. But the way AI is gaining momentum in lightspeed, I can vividly see how such 'names' will influence 'real' name giving in a not too far away future. The period we are living right now somewhat serves as the bridge from "I cannot imagine that" to "I can imagine that".

I am pretty sure that the superintelligence will happen. One day we can't stop it since humans were too curious. BOOM. Then we will see what the next evolution will bring us.
Here is the thing. We all know that this has been happening for some time. This film highlights that fact and that it reflects what we fear of confronting.
Sooner or later we would need to realize that this is not science fiction anymore and confront our own actions.
