[Festival introduction] SHOTS - international independent short film festival (prologue)
May I present you Shots - International Independent Short Film Festival.
A friendly indie short film festival located in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia "traditionally" on the first weekend of August.
A festival signed with good food, warm hospitality and extraordinary short film selection.
I'm one of the crew members with my task being responsible for the festival music.
Joined under the command of the festival director Tomo Novosel and the head organisator Maša Flogie, a group of enthusiastic people would set up a thriving festival, pleasantly accepted by many who had heard about it.

It's a project which started a couple of years ago when Tomo, Maša and some other film related friends were returning from a festival where we would participate with a film of ours.
To make the story short, the festival was pretty shitty so Tomo would have a better idea.
In a couple of weeks in 2016 maybe 2015 (can't remember anymore), he would gather a group of about 7 people including myself and say:"I have this mad idea". :)
So after some brainstorming, planing and a handful of meetings, Shots would have seen the light of the day for the first time. :D <3

Are you also in the film business?
Not in the industry but am very interested in simple film techniques to support learning. I've created a series of workshops called "Express Yourself Through Film" which I use with young people and children to get them thinking about presenting their ideas on topics which affect them. They then create their own very short film (very "homemade" but it's their own original work which they are extremely proud of, as am I) :)))))
Sounds cool.
It goes under the genre of indie short film, and we also have a student film category.
If you create some very nice videos, you re invited to register some for to the festival (the best ones). :)
The "early bird" registration is really cheap (i think its still 3$).
No Hollywood production here... Hehe. If the story is nice, you've got chances to make it to the screenings... ;)
