We live in the Philippines. It is our native land. It is located in Southeast Asia. We, the people of the Philippines, are called Filipinos. We have our own characteristics that make us different from other races.

Pagmamano - is kissing the hands of our parents and elders whenever we meet or visit them or during any religious celebration.
Image Source(direct link to img)Respect for elders - is shown by answering our parents, elders and superiors with "po" and "opo" when we talk to them.We also show our respect by offering to help them, especially in tasks which are difficult for them to do.
Close family ties - is shown by being one in all activities and sticking together as a family through thick and thin.
Utang na loob. is shown by being grateful for favors, help or any assistance given to us by the people around us.
Bayanihan - is a practice in which people in the community offer their help or services without expecting any payment.
