Through Her Child's Eyes
She gripped the elderly hand, the thin skin organza under the fluorescent lighting.
"Nanna, I don't want to go in."
"Why not?"
"That's not MY mum, her face's wrong."
Behind the hospital door, her mum listened, tears stinging her newly firmed cheeks. The price of beauty suddenly seemed too high.
