The Best Icons Team in FIFA 18
I searched and composed the best possible FUT team using only Icon cards. The choice was very difficult because there were a lot of great cards to choose from.
The Goalkeeper:
Yashin
Nicknamed the "Black Spider" was a russian footballer and considered one of the best goalkeepers of history. He played all his career in Dynamo Moscow and he was the only Goalkeeper who ever won the Ballon d’Or.
The Defenders:
Carles Puyol
Carles is a Spanish central defender he was one of the best defender of his generation he was playing for FC Barcelona and he won The 2010 World Cup with his country.
Maldini
Maldini was an Italian left back and central defender.He played for A.C. Milan and the International team. He spent 25 seasons with his club and won The FIFA Club World Cup.
Nesta
Alessandro was one of the best center backs of his time and one the best defenders that ever he played for A.C. Milan, Lazio and the International team. He won The 2006 FIFA World Cup.
The Midfielders:
Maradona
Diego Armando was one of the best attacking midfielders, a lot of people believe that he is the greatest footballer ever. He was joint FIFA Player of the 20th Century with Pelé. He won The 1986 FIFA World Cup with his country, Argentina.
Petit
The French midfielder has mostly played in Monaco, Arsenal and the French international team with whom he won the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
Pires
Robert was a left attacking midfielder, he played for Arsenal, Metz and the French International team. He won the FIFA World Cup in 1998 with Petit and the UEFA European Championship in 2000.
Matthaus
Lothar was a sweeper, he played for Bayern Munich and Borussia Mönchengladbach, he won the 1990 FIFA World Cup and was crowned German player of the year 1990, 1999.
The Strikers:
Pele
The Brazilian is considered the best player in the history of Football, he won three FIFA World Cups with Brazil (1958, 1962, 1970), two Intercontinental Cups (1962, 1963). Pele was awarded The Ballon d'Or numerous times (1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1963, 1964, 1970 ) and FIFA Player of the Century: 2000. He remained loyal to Santos, his home club, and played for them until he retired for 18 years.
Ronaldinho
"El Gaucho" was an attacking midfielder and sometimes a winger. He played mostly for F.C. Barcelona and A.C. Milan, Ronaldinho had a lot of technical skills. The Brazilian won many prestigious trophies: The FIFA World Cup in 2002, The UEFA Champions League (2006), the Ballon d’Or, The FIFA World Player of The Year (2004-2005) and many more.
Ronaldo
"El Finomeno" was one of the greatest strikers in the world. He played mostly in Real Madrid and managed to win The FIFA World heCup (1994, 2002) and Copa America (1997,1999).
