"What was there to do?" Poem
What was there to do?
The lantern's light glistened on his glassy emerald eyeballs
The veins had now turned a deep red
His head spun round, and around, time began to slow
He breathed in again, the calming smoke filling his lungs
Exhale
Slow
A green white cloud surrounded him
He entered his own world, bright and colorful
This could not go on, it was unhealthful
A certain kind of clarity came over him
As his head hit the pillow
He knew what was there to do.
