Dick and Jane Part One

Dick arrived early to work one day... a little too early. He had made a stop at a local gas station, and decided that he would sit back, listen to some music, and sip his coffee before stepping inside and starting his first appointments.

Dick worked for a contracting company that specialized in setting up customers with new computers. It was Dick's job, along with his team, to take the old machines from customers, backup all their data and move it to a brand new computer and make sure that it worked, before they handed off responsibility to the onsite IT team.

So far the job had been a disaster...

Simon, Herman, and himself had faced a slew of problems and were behind schedule. The issue was, as always, software. The company hadn't given Dick's company all the information it needed, and so the team floundered around to download and provide what they could to make sure their users could still function...

Dick didn't give a shit. It was Friday and he honestly just wanted the day to end so he could hang out with friends and drink.

He flinched. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a car pull up next to his. He eased back into his seat and changed the song, but soon he put his seat into the upright position.

A beautiful young lady crossed his path. She wore a pair of jeans and she wore them well. Dick couldn't help but take a closer look. She had strawberry blonde hair and a petite frame, fair skin. A knock out... at least to him.

'Shit, I hope I'm setting her up today...' he thought. He turned off his engine and opened the car door. Stepping out, he downed the rest of his coffee and headed it. After all, they were a bit behind on the project. Couldn't hurt to get started early.
