RE: Hidden Forever: A Short Story
Thanks. That's the feel I was going for. It's a bit different from my usual style, but it was fun to write.
I wrote this some years ago for a contest. I was given a particular theme (finding something on a beach with a metal detector) and had 24 hours to write a story about it. I didn't place, but it was a worthwhile experience.
Writing almost every day for Steemit is getting me to used to writing more quickly, but it used to take me a long time to produce anything decent. I was editing about 20x before letting it go. So having such a time pressure was a new experience. I was set to spend an all-nighter on it, but in the end I think I submitted it within 6 hours or so of the start time.
