Sunday Night's Horror

Sunday nights always leave Henry very miserable. Yeah; this is because, the weekend would end in few minutes and the thought of Monday arriving would dawn on him like a thunderbolt in the harmattan. Alas, Monday is almost here, and work calls. Now he would be faced with a hell-of-a-boss. You didn't hear this from my mouth; but his boss is a direct descendant of a specie from hell.

Every Sunday night, Henry would lay on his bed thinking of what would become of him in the next few hours. More often than not, he wished he was ill, so he could go to the hospital and get a sick leave... But if wishes were sickness, Henry would be sick.

When Monday would finally come, he would pick together the fragments of his broken soul and drag himself to the office, with the hopes that his boss would not be around that early. But everytime, the boss would be there to pick the faults of either; "Hey Henry, you're too early, hope you're not planning anything fishy?" or "Hey Henry, you're late, and your salary would be slashed".

This would cause Henry's heart to nose-dive deep into his stomach. "What would I do to please this man" he always asked himself. Every person's bosses are quite different; at least they would come to work early on the days you would come late, but would come late on the days you come early, lol. But seems like Henry's boss only has one mission; to frustrate Henry's soul and make him fear him like an oracle.

One Monday morning, as usual, Henry arrived office; not knowing his wishes have been granted; and there was no trace of "Hitler". He asked around; "where's boss?", and he was greeted with the greatest news of his life: "Boss has been transfered to the branch in the North". He couldn't contain his joy, but for a moment he thought; "what would be the fate of the people in that branch?". Okay, they are now in for an impending holocaust. But for Henry, he has gained his humanity.
