Long long ago before you and I were born, the kingdom of Ebute was divided into two due to the death of the great king. This division was caused the deceased king two sons.

This division made the first son to take Ajanka which was the northern part of the kingdom while the younger brother took the southern part called Oleole. The division of the kingdom did not mean they war against each other. Infact the two communities shared virtually everything together including tradition and culture. They would go to war and defeat their enemies because they loved and know the importance of unity and that made them undefeated and formidable.

One day, there was a war between the Reme kingdom and the two sons of Ebute, unfortunately they were defeated by Okonta and his Army'Okonta is the king of Reme kingdom. He took the men and women of Ebute captive. They were taken captive for about two years. In this years the people of Ebute worked tiredlessly, should infact they worked both morning and night. Their kings were taken as slaves and their kings were used to play games for fun during festive periods.

One day Okonta wanted the wifes of the two kings of Ebute to grace his bed. He wanted to have them for the night but they refused. That night they were beaten mercilessly, without no mercy but they stood their ground that they weren't going to sleep with the king and if they did they will make sure they kill him on bed. The king Okonta heard this and was furious, He decided to punish the people of Ebute wickedly the next day.
