Roy Brown and Sally

were doing research.

They were both enrolled as ‘on-line’ students at a university. They were each taking engineering courses concentrating on advanced materials. Roy had an undergraduate degree in structural engineering, Sally had one in Architecture. They were collaborating on a paper for their Master’s degree.

The subject was tensegrity as related to 3D printing.

“Lasers” Patty said. “For years and years after they were discovered they were a solution looking for a problem.”

“They’ve found plenty of problems.” Roy said “They’re everywhere today.”

“They certainly are” Patty agreed. “Even in 3D printing. Look here what I found. Selective Laser Melting that sinters thin layers of granules dust and Selective Laser Melting that liquifies it.”

Roy was looking over her shoulder...trying his BEST to keep his mind OFF and his eyes AWAY from the display of Cleavage. Most times she went topless while in the apartment so he should be grateful for small favors. It was hard though, in more ways than one. He concentrated..

“It appears that Digital Light Processing is very similar.” he said.

“Which has much in common with Stereolithography.” she added.

“The integrated circuit industry has been using that for decades.” Roy noted.

“Electron Beam Melting too.” Patty said.

“And of course there is the old standby.” Roy said. “several different forms of ‘jetting’.“

I wonder what would happen if we combined them all?
