THE WISE DOG AND THE TORTOISE (CONTD)

This is a story that happened in the animal world between two abled men, Guto (Tortoise) and Duke (Dog) of the community…
The following day the contest began. It was massive as all the invitees were present. Before the contest started that day, shutee saw the way Guto and Jjadoo was behaving, he was monitoring Guto as ordered by Duke. The behaviour of Guto and Jjadoo before the contest started was unlikely. Because of that shutee sensed there might be a reason for that, and he alerted Duke.
Duke since he was the one hosting the contest ordered that each of the contestants will have a separate portion for dropping of their faeces. As the contest was going on Duke was busy walking around monitoring the faeces. On reaching Jjadoo’s droppings Duke sensed a similar smell. Could Jjadoo be the one; Duked asked himself inside his mind. After the contest all of them went home. Duke was ok with the way the contest went because he was about to find the truth. Though Duke never wanted to make trouble openly as he knew that he can't stand the shame if everyone in the community knew what happened the day they went to Nzam, so he want a secret fight.
Shutee was still monitoring Guta and Jjadoo as still ordered by Duke. Unfortunately for Guto, after the contest, in the night he went to Jjadoo’s house to know if there is a news about Duke. All this while Guto never knew someone was monitoring him. As Guto and Jjadoo was discussing Shutee was behind eavesdropping on them. It was now that Shutee understood the meaning of their behaviour before the contest that day. Without wasting time Shutee rushed to Duke house and make a report about what he heard. Duke was surprised about how come Guto and Jjadoo became friends to that extent.
Thinking all through the night what shutee told him about the behaviour of Guto and Shutee before the contest started, the smell of Shutee’s faeces and what Shutee reported to him that night about what he overheard Guto and Jjadoo discussing about the faeces, the next day morning Duke set out to Jjadoo’s house. On reaching Jjadoo’s house, Duke saw Jjadoo and Guta discussing. Duke was surprised at what brought Guto to Jjadoo’s house and what they could be talking about.
Guto went to Jjadoo’s house to know if Duke came around because he was afraid Duke might sense the smell of Jjadoo’s faeces at the contest. Guto was relieved because Jjadoo told him that Duke did not came around, but seeing Duke that morning too changes all his relief as he knew there is a problem. Neither Guto and Duke were friends of Jjadoo before. So both of them were surprised at each other as Duke knew there is a hidden something that brought Guto to Jjadoo’s house, and Guto knew also that there is something hidden that brought Duke to the house.
Jjadoo welcomed Duke, offered him a sit and cola. So what brought you to my house, Jjadoo asked. Duke smiled and said; the faeces on the road to Nzam. Guto and Jjadoo looked at themselves with surprise and replied at once; what's about the faeces. Duke smiled again and replied; I should be the one asking you two. Guto and Jjadoo denied it and Duke now told them everything they discussed previous night exactly as Shutee narrated it to him. Duke is really wise, said Guto inside his mind.
After Duke told them everything they were still denying the fact even though they knew Duke was saying the truth. But with the expression on Guto and Jjadoo’s face Duke was totally convinced that they are the ones who coursed him to lose Ugo the last daughter of the king. In anger Duke left.
Throughout that day Duke was thinking about how he will retaliate because he knows that he is not of match to Jjadoo and as for Guto he is the potential in-law, and if makes trouble people will know what happened on the road to Nzam and he will leave with the shame all his life. As he was thinking, a thought came to his mind as he remembered that Ugo never liked Guto. Yes! Let's begin!, shouted Duke inside his room.
The next day Duke approached Ugo and told Ugo that Guto never liked her rather Guto used the influence to punish him. Immediately Duke said this Ugo was angry with Guto at how and why he will be punishing Duke of all people like that. Because Ugo never liked Guto she didn't even care to know or let Duke explain what happened. She rushed back to the palace and told the king to cancel her wedding union with Duke which was about to come up very soon.
King hearing this was crazy at Ugo because it's a taboo in their tradition to go against the command of the king. What reason do you have for what you said!; king shouted, Ugo replied that she believed that there is something wrong with the journey of Guto and Duke to Nzam as she knew that Guto can never win over Duke. King hearing this was calm and sensed towards what Ugo said as how can a very slow Guto outride Duke.
The news of cancellation of Guto as the potential in-law of the king went viral in the community, everyone was confused as that never happened before in their history. When Guto got the news he was angry like someone that lost all he got. Duke is a devil, Guto said for he knew Duke was behind the game. Sooner as the wedding day was approaching, the king called all the elders for a meeting on how they will cancel the already pronounced Guto as the kings in-law and a way of offering Guto and Duke another contest. The elders agreed at once because they never liked Guto.
The pronounced Guto as the inlaw was canceled and another contest was offered to them and this time the person that wins will have Ugo. Ugo was happy happy as Duke the guy everyone admirers will soon be hers. Guto was very angry with the new development but because of all time and friends sake with Duke he decided not to expose what Duke did on the way to Nzam and admit to contest again.
