Here's to us girls

Whose breaths births life,

Whose hands mould society,

whose anger has extinguished nations.

Here's to the girls,

who are pushed and oppressed,

molested and treated as inferior,

Judged, excluded and discriminated against,

They try to Break us and shake us.

To us,

Who are judged by the tone of our voice not what we say,

Not by our intelligence but by their definition of beauty,

They force their-selves and ideals down our throats,

But we rise unburnt and unfazed

And army is gathering,

The winds are changing,

A storm is brewing,

Tired of just sitting down taking whatever crumbs fall from the table,

We will take no captives! Not our mothers, fathers, brothers or sisters!

To us,

Raise your glass to us,

Celebrate us... everyday heroes

May we know them,

May we be them.
