The barrage of choices is so inundating that it leads to indecision and makes you wonder WTF are you doing. You are right about the fact that the indecision can lead to inactivity and then the cycle is only perpetuated from there. Not only you become unsure of what to choose next but you can also become unsure of whether you should choose at all.
But I don't think that this temporary break (if managed properly) is bad. Sometimes we need time think and we wouldn't have taken that time if hadn't stopped in the first place.
People too often these days opt for default position which is generally the program that supports them staying exactly where they are.
Yes, but there is a difference between the position of indecision and taking time to think... I think.
