Can Faucets Be A Stable Passive Income Source?
At the present moment and for about 6 months I'm getting a stable passive income with faucet sites. It's not the easiest task, because it requires discipline and having some referrals that are active. However, this is the best way to start creating your crypto portfolio for free as you learn more about this universe. To do this, and regardless of the Cryptocurrency market scenario, in terms of activity or price, Faucet sites are a great way to invest in cryptos without incurring any risk.
I'm claiming and holding on to Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Doge ( I know it's not a valuable coin but I have a sweet spot for this one).
What are Faucets?
A faucet is a site that slowly accumulates bitcoins or altcoins until collected by its users. The entire process takes some time until you can collect the coins. Faucets generate small amounts of bitcoin (Satoshi) or other cryptos. The user of the site only has to visit it and collect the bitcoins at a certain time interval. To do this, you only need to solve a captcha for the recognition (and exclusion) of any bots.
Faucets are ideal for people who are just getting started in the world of cryptocurrencies. You do not have to buy or set anything up, and it’s all for free. Now, more than ever, it’s the right time to start acquiring bitcoins and other digital coins. All you need is a computer and an email address.
Basic Security
It is still unknown what could happen if you send out your Bitcoin address to many sites. If you use wallets that only generate one public address for all transactions, this could make you more traceable to hackers. So it is best not to use your secure Bitcoin or altcoin wallet to take faucet rewards. The world of cryptocurrencies is still new enough and not all threats are known- it is best to err on the side of caution.
Faucets are a bit more stable than in the early years of Bitcoin, where many services closed. But still, one needs to practice caution and good security practices every step of the way. When it comes to cryptocurrencies, security is in your hands, so beware.
How to Join a Faucet
Joining a faucet has a few preliminary steps:
- Obtain a receiving address for your coin of choice: Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin are the most common. Use a web-based wallet or a micro wallet instead of your usual storage wallet to avoid mistakes and unnecessary exposure of your address.
- Pick out a faucet and claim the rewards.
- Follow the specific instructions of the faucet to receive the current reward.
- Abandon sites that do not work easily. Not all faucets are made the same, and some will use tricks, redirects, and popups. Save your sanity- the aim is to learn about cryptocurrencies, so better use only the most streamlined faucets and abandon the rest.
Organize Your Faucets
After a while, you will have your favorite faucets that work well and don't distract much. Simply hold them open in a browser tab and let them fill with rewards. Also if you use many faucet sites like myself, you can create a simple spreadsheet from google docs and have all your faucets and referral info there.
Choose faucets that are easily compatible with your wallets and work without fail. Buying a premium reward is a matter of personal choice. With time, you would learn to see which faucets make sense for your purpose.
Treat faucets as a learning experience and invite friends and family for greater rewards. Faucets themselves pay little, but they have a referral program. It is great for teaching kids about cryptocurrencies, wallets and basic security.
Recommended Faucets
Here are some faucets I personally use and that give me a stable passive income every week:
Moon Faucets
My top faucets, I use them for almost 2 years and they are my favorite faucets for a stable passive income. Refer your friends and colleagues to Moon Faucets and receive a massive 50% lifetime commission on all their faucet claims! All commission payments are paid instantly to your CoinPot account. Free.In Faucets
These ones are almost as good as the Moon faucets, but to be honest, and because I don't have many referrals here, they don't generate the passive income I wish. Nevertheless, they are stable and secure, without pop ups and ads. Another great feature is that you can share your earnings with your referrals.
Luckybits Faucet
I just love this one, it's the most recent for me, about 3 months. It's a young faucet, but already a top-notch faucet with games, tasks, and offerwall. In this one I just claim Ethereum, but you can claim, BTC, LTC, DOGE, ZEC, DASH, BCH, and BLK. Referral percentage is 10%, and you can choose the interval of time/amount you wish to do your claims.
Faucet.Info
These faucets are cool, with one or two pop-ups, but you have to claim at least once a month in order to keep your cryptos. They have a referral percentage of 10%. What I like the most is the number of different altcoins we can claim.
Zcash Ripple Monero Blackcoin DigiByte Stellar NEO Ethereum Ethereum Classic Dash Lisk Decred Litecoin Reddcoin
Miscellaneous Faucets
Well, these ones don't give me a stable passive income, but I like them. It's because I don't have referrals, but maybe you can be one :)
