Fats Waller #9 - Fats at Billy Higgs studio, London

While Fats Waller was in the UK on his second tour, he recorded a number of new tunes at the Billy Higgs recording studio on 2 April 1939, including his "London Suite" of six compositions, which unfortunately are lost. Although the Billy Higgs acetates of the "London Suite" are lost, he did record it again at the HMV studios, Abbey Road, London, on 13 June 1939, which were eventually issued by HMV from dubbed copies after WW2 on three 78 rpm records.
