Casual Chic Street Style - In Not So Tolerable Summers
I firmly believe that style and fashion don’t have to break your bank. Except for the special occasions of course (our definitions for these events vary so, to each their own). We all like to look good and why not? I don’t believe someone would be happy looking like a Zombie while going out… only time we are all happy looking like that is when we’re in the comfort of our homes, binging on pizza and Netflix. But talk about going out, and we’re all dressed up like Cinderella at the ball!
Summer lasts for good 7 months (at least) in Pakistan. And it’s no ordinary summer, it’s the humid, making your face sweat (so minimal makeup in the first place) and your hair frizzy and other body parts really clammy kinda summer. So us women need to be wise with our dressing choices. Wearing something that makes us look good and at the same time not making us sweat like a junkie without crack is very important while dressing up for a day/night out.
Casual attire is my favorite when I’m going out, be it with family or friends. In this look below, I wore maroon top (from Outfitters PK) with black bell-bottom trousers (so comfy and not-so-casual that I’ve almost forgotten about jeans in this scorching heat). This is my idea of casual chic street style.
One of the reasons I bought this top was these frilled sleeves that I’m in love with. Yay or Nay?
I don’t care much about accessories usually but I love accessorizing with this timepiece (from NEXT) and this shiny bracelet. You’ll see me shamelessly wearing these both over and over and over again.
