Farm update : Weekly review from the farming activities and progress made with steem

in #farms5 years ago

Hello everyone,

Thank you all for supporting me despite some fault that came from me but I think that should not be a case but thanks to everyone that sees to my minor challenges here. I'm so grateful.

I will like to give a brief update of how the week goes on the farm and how I made some more project success with some steem rewards being sold for funding the project.

  • On 7th January I made a new proposal on how to make a new wooden broiler chicken Cage which will cost some huge some of money likewise the booking of the birds because the rule says you must book for the birds before you can even see them and collect by then. So with the calculated estimate it #23.000 Nigerian currency to start with. So I came back to my drawing board and gently look over it again and I decided to give it a start by going to the sawmill and purchased some raw materials for the cage which I made myself. It wasn't easy but I had to start from somewhere I do not care if people out there believe or not or even think of what other people will say. I kept to my dreams.

  • On 8th of January I started my wood work proper and gave it a new face and look which was this as shown below

What I did in summary here was that I took the 2cm by 3cm and made it stand up as the main framework of the cage within the four corners after that I used the plank I bought for the floor which was 5ft long. Also, the nail I used was 2inches. And I covered the whole cage with the chicken net.

WHY DID I USE THE CHICKEN NET FOR ALL CAGE SIDES?

  • My primary aim here was to create much ventilation for those birds, I have experienced some difficulties while growing up some farm birds early, not this year but when I was still in the learning stage. so I made it that way.

  • To create easy accessibility : what i meant here was that I will easily see from afar if there are predators such as ants, termites, snakes, and so on.

  • To reduce environmental risk. so as to make sure that there are no other materials used other than chicken net as a source of reducing risk.

On 9th January, I completed the wood cage. I made some sacrifice and I completed the cage within 3 hours inside the hot sun so as to get set and prepare for the arrival of the birds ahead. so here was what it looked like

so it looked so perfect and professional experience worker.

Here is the weekly update from my poultry farm.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks for reading.

I Very Proud To Be A Farmer. 💖💖👍👍👍.

  • I will never give up. I Promise. ♨♨
