Long time no Steem...it? FMF is back!

Hey there fellow steemians!

So it's been about....3 months? Give or take? Since I last posted. Thought I'd whip up a quick post to catch y'all up on the happenings or subsequent lack there-of here at Free Market Farms.

Last time I posted, things were going pretty well. We had a solid client list, crops coming off the rows twice a week and a solid list of eager interns waiting to rotate through; We also had Irma heading our way.

Well to make a rather long and uncomfortable story short I'll cut to the chase. Irma pretty much destroyed the farm. By destroyed I mean: Near 90% crop loss, greenhouses missing roofs and a majority of their side panels, swamp coolers broken, hoop houses pulled up from their anchors, etc. In the week following the mayhem we sustained a vandalism attempt that resulted in our back up seedlings being totally destroyed.

Needless to say, we've seen better days in the farm. Fortunately I was able to call up a friend and get a job working in engineering again while we start the slow and incredibly arduous task of rebuilding.

Farming is not for the faint of heart and I'm happy to report that our problems are still small in the big picture. I hope all of you enjoy your holiday season and celebrate your families!
