Natal Plums
Carissa macrocarpa

These can easily be grown from seeds, sometimes fruits from untended shrubs will mature and fall into the ground. Collect dried fruits and the bottom or carefully pull seedlings and transfer into a bigger pot.

Seedlings can be transplanted to a sunny place and will bear fruits in about two years.

Branches or stems from mature shrubs can be bent and held into the soil with a rock so the it will develop roots in a few weeks. The new plant can be cut off from its parent and transplanted elsewhere.

Once established, the shrub will require less watering.

Evem during off-seasons, it will still bear a number of fruits. It taste tangy and can be dipped in salt to enhance its flavor.
