FPL GW 30 - Recap
So much for Chelsea, isn't it @the-gorilla ? :P Crash and burn big style, courtesy of Thiago Silva. However, personally, I would call this gameweek more a missed opportunity than a total disaster:
Positives:
- Lingard: the best bargain of the last transfer market, no doubt. My Captain from now on.
- Alexander-Arnold starting to feel his defending and passing boots again!
- Fernandes and Mount: probably the two most reliable midfielders of the season.
- Watkins: quietly efficient.
Negatives:
- Mendy, what was that? Why oh why did I take you back?
- Lacazette: it was all a fluke, these last matches, right?
- Leaving Jota on the bench and losing 10 precious points there. Bad mistake.
We got lucky with Rudiger being benched! What was Chelsea's defensive record before that match? Then conceding 5 at home to West Brom. WTF???
Shame about Jota - I guess it was a toss up between him and Ward-Prowse?
