Light novel - Chapter 0 ( Insanity of the Infinity Mage)
Hello everyone,
As per my intro post. Here is the first chapter of my little writing project. I hope you enjoy and follow and like if you wish to support me which is welcome with love of course.
Chapter 0 is a little shorter than the rest but please do be understanding as the later chapters will be longer (;

Chapter 0 - Denial

The world was one that he denied.
In his heart, he knew. He knew with certainty beyond reasoning that he belonged elsewhere.
There was a world out there for him and his desire.
He knew for it to happen that unfortunately, he could not stand still and wait for the goddess of fate to intervene.
He lived in a suburban area near a major city living out his days as a student and a part time worker doing customer service for a cellphone company… Yes, the sad life of students.
His days were numbered and he felt like he was wasting them away being confined to the boring hell that is stability. Or at least to him it was.
He always envied those who can live out their carefree lives doing repeated menial tasks and getting paid a decent salary while paying taxes and having the odd vacation here and there while being contempt with everything around that as. What beauty.
To him, this was his hell.
One day, it finally struck him. He could no longer accept reality for what it was.
There was no adventure, no excitement other than joining some shady business or gang or joining a government task force there wasn't anything in his horizon.
He wanted an adventure where he could travel the world solving mysteries and taming wild beasts. The type of adventure where he meets heroes, dragons, mighty races of different variety and magic! Oh! How he dreamt of magic. Whatever you want to call it, arcane forces, mystic powers or spiritual development, he wanted it!
However, our character here did not want the job of a hero nor of an adventurer.
He had other plans if his dream were to ever come to fruition. So much so he drules constantly while daydreaming. Which in fact, was a little overwhelming to his peers but he doesn’t say too much to them in hopes of avoiding a sad life of being bullied in dark little alleys while being called an idiot. Respectable choice indeed.
Leaving that aside. He finally made his decision.
Since he believed he wasn't ‘Main Character’ enough for otherworldly beings to transport him to his desired world, that he wasn't lucky enough to have been born into one nor be the type to believe his current actions in life will lead him to be reincarnated later on into his desired life, he decided to take a risk.
Meet Dess.
A young and ambitious soul who had finally come to have enough of modern society and its chains that bound him to his normal everyday life with school, work and taxes.
“Oh taxes, how have you gained such power, yet will not share your riches with me.... You can burn in the abyss for an eternity for being the cruelest invention of Man next to their natural corruption.”
The only thing this young man hated more than his mundane life was taxes. He really fucking hated taxes. Sure they are beneficial but to his young soul, they were but a scam that held his poor little savings account by the throat.
In fact, the only reason he hated taxes so much was because he was poor as hell due to his college fees and taxes felt like a crime to him where the world took more and more from him.
In any case, at the ripe old age of 22, he finally decided if he wasn't going to be transported to another world or find himself caught in a mystery that would lead him on a crazy adventure. He would set out and find that door to his lifelong dream himself!
“It’s finally time! I have had it with these unexciting choices in my life, I will prepare to leave!“
The next chapter is on its way, I will keep a regular posting schedule so I look forward to your comments if you enjoy the story

Interesting begining,wonder what will happen next, sounds kind of dark for now.

Btw I was planing to do the same in the future (writing LN and posting it here).Though my writing skills are bad and not sure when will that be.
We all start somewhere @spiritdreamer. I'm a newbie at fiction myself but I've come a long way with the right feedback already. We can only hope to learn and improve. You'll get there, and I'll be following you to see where you take us. ;-)
haha thanks, but don't want to dissapoint you. Probably won't be posting fiction soon.Still on the stage of "it's not working at all" when trying to write it.For a while still will be posting simple anime related posts.Which may be come handy in the end, but my point is if you follow me you'll get anime related posts and you're probably not into that.
Well, no pressure of course, but you'll never know unless you try. It still amazes me that people seem to like my writing. But I love it enough to write even if not a soul would love it. I dare you. ;-)
till now there was only one thing that I actualy wrote.A poem for my favorite anime character, which you can see if you want as one of my posts before 7 days.If you know the character it have a lot of meaning, but as a poem is like a childplay which is my current level.
Well, I'm part of a community of writers. Our goal is to help each other improve our skills. You'd be very welcome there. ;-) I will go and have a look at that poem.

Haha, thanks! I love that on my first day I already found someone who seems to share similar goals as mine so I look forward to what you write! This present story is my attempt at being a little different from the crowd so I hope it goes well but thanks again and I hope I please your expectations :p
