Portugal and Spain showed us the kind of quality that's on offer in this tournament. Spain did all their usual probing and passing while Portugal used the same blueprint they used to win the Euros 2 years ago, which is basically on effectiveness on the ball and of course the immeasurable luck riding at times in defence.
